14.00 Blind spot: Hidden women
Museum exhibitions are still criticized for telling the story of the white bourgeoise male. We emphasize stories about women that have been hidden behind stories of men, which have been considered to be of greater importance. The audience get the impression that technology belongs to the men’s world. Society was highly gendered a hundred years ago, and many of the objects on display date back from a time with limited employment opportunities for women. But women still made up half of the population a hundred years ago. And a hundred years ago women still lived and operated in a society, not shut in in a Cinderella castle. Suitable for youths and adults. Show up precisely on time by column 5 in the foyer.
14.00 – 15.00 Create an alien
